"Jack's Pub" and "Tally Ho! Fox Hunting!" Latest paintings.

Last post for January. 

Two new paintings and another almost finished. Mr Fox was 

sold within two days of listing him. That's always a good sign.

"Jack's Pub"
8 x 10 inches

A small piece of Colonial-style art. Naive, impressionist, and country-decorative.

"Tally Ho! Fox Hunting!"
20 x 24 inches

Mr Fox hasn't acknowledged that they banned hunting in the UK a couple of years ago. He knows the ban has so many loopholes that you can hardly tell the difference. That look in his eye says he has some ideas of his own. And he's doing it without a hound or a horse in sight.

Three New Paintings - All Women.

I had an urge for more portrait paintings and these three women emerged. They all have their own little stories to tell, of course.

"Escape" Vintage Hot Air Balloon in the Night Sky Painting

So pleased to have another commission finished, that I quite forgot that I have a new painting in addition to the custom picture.

I haven't featured any wild skies for a long time, and had the urge. And night skies are wonderful. I'll probably do some more.

Australian "Country Boys" - My Latest 24 x 18 Painting

I said I would post more regularly, rather than adding a great stream of pictures in one blog, and this painting is my latest.

A lot of my work is related to the number of years I spent in Canada, but out of the blue I realized that I hadn't - ever - attempted one reflecting Australian skies and land.



What do you think? It's up for sale, but I almost hope it won't sell, because I'd like to keep these goodlooking guys around. Time will tell. (But I really have to stop collecting my own paintings...ridiculous.)

Peggy Sue's Front Porch and Crossroad Studios at Etsy

Peggy Sue is the mother of six. Karen Fields at Etsy

Karen Fields produces lovely works of art in vibrant colors that will revive the most jaded winter spirit. Spring is only a month away, and I thought these paintings could prepare us, throw open the window, figuratively speaking. If you're like me, you are desperate to go for a warm, scent-filled walk, to see what flowers are popping out. Not long now, okay?










Karen also enjoys painting lush abstracts with lots of texture, so I've included a couple today, although it's the floral and landscape paintings that I'm drawn to at this time of the year. The Paris picture is not for sale, but I'm sure Karen will happily talk to you about a commission. Paris in the Spring, oh my!
